It was about
25 years ago, and I'll never forget the mist on the farm
pond as I cast a Lucky 13 and popped it twice. A
bass that looked as big as my leg absolutely trashed the
plug, and made a single jump before throwing the lure
back at me. I was hooked. He wasn't.
You can
experience that thrill at Booger Bottom. We have some of
the most prolific and fertile ponds in the area, with
bass, bream, and catfish ready to bite. If you have
youngsters to introduce to the outdoors, a fishing trip
to Booger Bottom is an excellent gift for them --- and
you!
Our
fishing package includes meals, lodging, bait, boat &
life jacket(s).
If big
water fishing is more to your liking, Booger Bottom is a
great base for fishing the famed Walter F. George
Reservoir, otherwise known as Lake Eufaula. This
45,181-acre reservoir is located on the Chattahoochee
River, with the lower reaches and dam structure near
Booger Bottom in Fort Gaines, GA.
Since
being impounded in the mid 1960s, Lake Eufaula has had a
national reputation for excellent largemouth bass
fishing. With a minimum size limit for largemouth bass
at 14 inches, Lake Eufaula is growing and sustaining a
population of bucket mouths that grow to trophy
proportions. While bass fishing is the biggest draw to
the lake, the reservoir also provides great fishing for
black crappie, catfish, white and striped bass, and
bream.
